Artecer, is very well know manufactory of these ceramic tiles from Seville, they are the very best in Spain, I would say in the world. These tiles are enameled. This work, known as "Cuerda Seca" (it could be translated to “Dry Cord” technique), it was brought buy the Arabs to Spain in the 8th. century. And since then, this ceramic craftsmanship has been made in Spain. Also these Craftsmen make plates and watches. Everything is made on flat surfaces, as the enamel is poured on to the tiles, so if it was not flat, guess what, it would dribble over the place. You can have them with or with out a metal frame.
